Julie Stewart is a resin artist living in Yeppoon on the beautiful Capricorn Coast in Queensland.

My Story 

Originally from the city, I began my resin journey whilst searching for unusual pieces to decorate my new home in Yeppoon. My passion to create something unique, that no one else could possible have, was realised when I discovered the beauty of resin. Due to the nature and flow of resin each piece is completely different and the individual designs are impossible to replicate. Resin can be layered to create depth and has a beautiful glass like finish. I often layer 3 to 4 coats of resin when working on tables and wall art and my smaller pendants have at least two layers! I draw inspiration from the glorious colours laid before me on the stunning Capricorn Coast and my love for this beautiful coastal town is often reflected in my colour pallet with vibrant blues from the ocean being a firm favourite. These unique art works are made using a combination of mineral mica powder, acrylics, inks and gold & silver leaf, often with the addition of natural shells, rocks and pebbles.
